Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)

Study Method: Online

Duration: 2 hours

Overview:  All workplaces must have documented procedures for the performance of all assessed tasks that have a high likelihood of causing harm or injury to a person performing the task. This course aims to ensure you understand your legal obligations with regard to SWMS including penalties for non-compliance, and understand the information to be contained with the SMWS, and who is responsible for completing them.

Better Work Tas - Networking Sessions

Overview: This session provides information by talking to others and sharing WHS problems. WorkSafe Tasmania facilitates two meetings a year, and members are encouraged to organise their own meetings and catch ups - online or face-to-face.

Mental Health in the Workplace

Overview:  Managing worker’s mental health in the workplace is similar to managing a worker’s physical health. A worker’s ability to perform their job role, communicate, problem solve and work in a team is enhanced if their mental health is also considered. If worker’s mental health is not considered or monitored there can be a risk their mental health will get out of balance and lead to a mental illness.
