Registering a co-operative

There are some steps to complete when registering a new co-operative under the Co-operatives National Law (Tasmania) Act 2015:

  • a set of rules for the co-operative is to be approved by the Registrar
  • a formation meeting is to be held to formally adopt the rules.  Present the disclosure statement to members if required.
  • a formal application to register as a co-operative is lodged with the Registrar
