Electricity Safety Regulations 2026 (Consultation Closed)

Consumer, Building and Occupational Services (CBOS), seeks your input on the Electricity Safety Regulations 2026 (the Regulations) and associated supporting documents including:

  • Electricity Safety (Safety and Operational Area) Determination 2026
  • Electricity Safety (Access and Maintenance) Code of Practice 2026

The Regulations and supporting legislative instruments were drafted to give effect to the Electricity Safety Act 2022. Prior to the proclamation and commencement of the Act, these regulations and supporting documents must be finalised to ensure the Act can be implemented.
